I don't know why we got the kazoo out for her, I think it was so her brother could trade her for another toy. Dad told her she had to sing into it to make it work. She did and it did. The first time she made a noise it startled her but when she realized what she had done she was very excited and carried it around for a long time. We were all very impressed. 
Getting her to hold still and do it on video proved to be very difficult.
