When I first thought about doing this post it was Monday and it was going to be titled Weekend in Review. Then life got busy, I got tired and now it's Friday so the post is called Week in Review plus some.
(Responsible - Who Me?) So after bragging a couple of weeks ago about how much I enjoy volunteering in Doodle's class I totally spaced going last Wednesday. I remembered it was Wed. and I should have gone to help in his class at around 3:30 when I was picking up the kids and thinking of all the other activities we had going that night. Needless to say I was so embarrassed and apologized to his teacher, she laughed and thought I was funny. It was still embarrassing and now you know too. I thought I might as well get it out there for everyone to know about.....it kind of makes me feel a little better. In my defense, I wasn't laying around eating Bon-bons, I was sewing like a crazy woman on that green dress mentioned in my "unpicking" post.
(Gravy Boat) One of those things I've wanted for a long time and told myself if I ever saw one I really liked I wouldn't hesitate - I'd just buy it- so I did.
(Blue & Gold Banquet) Their theme this year was Chinese New Year....So we had Hawaiian Haystacks. Not exactly Chinese but tasty none the less. Duder is doing great in scouts and just passed off all his requirements for his Religious Knot. WAY TO GO!
(Easter Dresses) Banana and I had a lot of fun, surprisingly we both found one we liked quickly, and I found a few other things I liked on clearance.....LOVE THAT
top - $5
Pants -$8
Earrings -$3
Having your preteen daughter pick out your clothes -------BIZARRE and PRICELESS!!!!!
(Spiderwick Cronicles) Dad and oldest 3 kidlets went to see the movie.....they loved it...In fact the kids are still talking about it....Too scary for the youngest 2.
(3/7) The ratio of how many Wilkinsons made it to church unscathed. Church starts @ 9 we were pulling in the parking lot @ 8:53 but we were all happy and totally not stressed. (HONEST - I know it's hard to believe but true) I say to the kids, "We're cutting it close so don't wait for me as soon as we're parked you oldest three get right out of the car and go set down." That's just what they started to do. Doodle took off running and promptly tripped, ripping both knees of his church pants and scraping his knee. As Banana was coming out of the sliding door of the van she slipped and caught her hip on the part of the door that sticks out somehow this threw her into me and her heel landed right on the arch of my foot. We both yelped at that one. C- was carrying Sweet Cheeks into the church and as he went through the door she threw her head back and smacked it on the door. I have to admit that a big part of me felt defeated and wanted to turn around go home and crawl in bed. Instead C- and I laughed at the irony and he headed back to the car for the first aid kit. And don't worry the day did get better.
(American Dad-iator) Family Night and Dad was in charge of game.....can you guess what his inspiration was. We all loved it. The kids said it was the best family night ever. Duder did a lesson on baptismal covenants, all by himself, so impressive, sometimes I think he's actually 30. Banana made a double chocolate fruit pizza for treat. We all had a great time.
(Same-old, Same-old) The rest of the week has been our family running around like chickens with their heads cut off but we are happy chickens so I guess that's all that matters.

Sounds like you really had a busy week. I sent your story about helping in Doodle's class to Aunt F. I thought she would enjoy that. The shopping sounds fun. Sorry about all the accidents going to church, glad you were all ok and could laugh about it.
