So it would seem I've become a
Blog Slacker
Which lead me to the question
Would that be a
Blacker?
or a
Slogger?
I think I'm going to go with Slogger (Slacking Blogger) it just sounds a little nicer!
THE MAN had a birthday a couple of weeks ago.....
and......I haven't dedicated a birthday post to him OR posted his birthday pictures.
SLOGGERM (slacking blogger mom)!!!!
So in an attempt to redeem myself
TODAY
I will post a
RECIPE
and BIRTHDAY PHOTOS!!!!!

The Man requested BANANA PANCAKES for his birthday.
I really have no idea why.
I've never made them for him before.
AND Usually he's not a very adventurous eater AT ALL (unlike his brothers, side note by brother Duder).
So, I really didn't know if it would be worth the trouble to find a recipe and make them.
BUT, he was persistent, and I decided that he probably wanted to try them because of
Jack Johnson.

So, I relented and I found this
Banana Sour Cream Pancakes
By the Barefoot Contessa 1 1/2 cups flour
3 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
1/2 cup sour cream
3/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon milk
2 extra-large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
Unsalted butter
2 ripe bananas, mashed, plus extra for serving
Pure maple syrup
3 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
1/2 cup sour cream
3/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon milk
2 extra-large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
Unsalted butter
2 ripe bananas, mashed, plus extra for serving
Pure maple syrup
Sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sour cream, milk, eggs, vanilla, bananas and lemon zest. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ones, mixing only until combined.
Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-low heat until it bubbles. Ladle the pancake batter into the pan to make 3 or 4 pancakes. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, until bubbles appear on top and the underside is nicely browned. Flip the pancakes and then cook for another minute until browned. Wipe out the pan with a paper towel, add more butter to the pan, and continue cooking pancakes until all the batter is used. Serve with sliced bananas, butter and maple syrup.
We also served ours with vanilla yogurt, fresh peaches and walnuts.
TASTY
I hope you enjoy the recipe let me know what you think if you give it a try!

Sounds yummy. Does it taste a bit like banana bread? If so, my kids will LOVE it! I do need to try it though, thanks for the recipe.
I love that you were inspired by Jack Johnson. Love him! I can always count on you for yummy recipes!
