Halloween

Every Halloween for the past 8 years I have longed to be here.
I missed my mom's chili, apple cider and donuts.
I missed getting to have the grandparents see how adorable the kids are and just being here.
This year we were HERE and we had a blast.
The kids got to see their cousins and grandparents.
We enjoyed the Chili, cider and donuts.
As a bonus we even got to go trick-or-treating sans coats. (A first for me)
After all the festivities we watched Blackbeard's Ghost with the kids (I love that show!).
Then went to bed bloated from all the goodies ---- life doesn't get much better than that.

HOWDY COWBOY

Actually he wanted to be a frost dragon for Halloween.
But I couldn't find a dragon costume that was blue and I wasn't up for making one this year
So, it was dad to the rescue and talked him into being a cowboy......again.
It wasn't very hard though.

Our niece K- makes a very scary/pretty football player.

Two more nieces were beautiful princesses....only they were very sleepy by the time I got to see them.
Scary dragon and a very brave knight.
Do you see a theme?

One of the best Halloweens EVER.
I got off easy in the costume department and only ended up making a wizard hat.
AMAZING, i know! (it's a first)
Trick-or-treating was done before it was dark. (The kids went on our hill. I told them by the time they had walked up and down and back up the hill they had really earned their candy. )
AND......We got to be with family.
Really, things couldn't have gone more smoothly!

Wow, the pictures turned out GREAT! I love the strange hand in the group picture. (what a night!) After we took her home, her dad let her stay up and eat candy. How is it that moms can see the tired, and dads only see fun? Go figure. It was fun to see everyone, thanks again!
