Really..........Seriously.........NOT a good time for me or any of my family to be sick.........BUT...........we are. SIGH!!!!!! GROAN!!!!
Not to worry though, I don't think it's the bird flu.
Although, some of us have felt like/wished we could die I think we're all going to recover.
The dreaded flu virus is not kind!!

Some of us have had the stomach flu.......others (me) have had the fever, aches, stuffy, head exploding congestion. Here's a pic MDH snapped of me yesterday morning.
I've seen better days, haven't I? This is such a bad illness it made me grow facial hair!(long drawn out woe is me sigh).

So here's the thing. Monday Duder got the stomach flu and had to miss the B-family Christmas party, Santa and everything. Wednesday Banana and Sweet Cheeks got it. Thursday was Doodle's turn. Now the wait is on to see if MR. Man is going to get it. Here's hoping what he had last weekend was a less violent form of what the other kids had this week. AND --- here's hoping MDH and I have washed our hands and cloroxed everything enough that he stays healthy and away from the stomach yucks and I just stick with my face is going to fall off yucks.
Because, we have things to do, furniture to arrange, walls to paint, boxes to unpack, Christmas trees to decorate, presents to make, lights to hang, neighbors to meet.......You know how it is!
Here's a question.....If you have more than one child would you rather they all get the yuckies together or one at a time? I'm all for together! Nothing like family together-ness. Seriously I'd rather have it all over with at once rather than drawn out over weeks. It is hard to have every one sick at once but then you get it over with and you move on with your life.
On a funny side note.
If you know MDH you know he has a talent - nay - a GIFT for rewriting words to songs to fit special occasions, moods, what have you.
For example; the song I Swear sung by John Michael Montgomery and boys 2 men.
New lyrics by MDH
I swear
when my mom and my dad aren't around.
I swear
when I stub my big toe on the ground.
There's more but I can't remember it. Anyway, all of our kids have inherited this GIFT from their father but, Duder really has a knack for it. So, the other day as I was walking around in an illness induced stupor, mumbling to myself, I asked my boy to come up with some lyrics to a Christmas song about having the flu. He sat there for a moment thinking, then he started to smile and giggle to himself, and I said, "Change that. Lets make it about having a cold because there's too many gross things about the stomach flu and I don't want to hear those put to Christmas music." He then got a little mischievous grin and said, "Yeah, your right. That was turning out a little gross in my head." He then came up with two songs for me. I'll have to post them later when he's here so I can get the words just right.
