I think I just witnessed the birth of another family tradition.
I've told you before how I feel about traditions.......I love 'em!
We took the kids to the Ogden LDS institute Christmas program.
It's great to get a little culture in the kids' lives
and as far as cultural activities go I would consider this milk chocolate, the symphony dark chocolate and the opera dark unsweetened chocolate.
The kids loved it....so did the adults....a little dancing, a little music, a little laughter, a little sentiment...what's not to love.
Then MDH put the day over the top by getting Arbys for dinner!
It snowed the day of the program and honestly I wanted to stay home and vegetate but we went and I'm so glad we did.
Back in the day I was in the LDS Institute Christmas program (on the folk dance team), three years running.
For the past 15 years I've had a reoccurring nightmare that I go to the program and they come and get me out of the audience and tell me they need me to dance with them. I freak out because I don't know the choreography and then I wake up in a cold sweat.
Well, now I can put that old nightmare to rest!
Because the folk dance team danced the same dances I did 15 years ago! Same choreography and everything! (well, except for the weird clog, in Russian costume to the Nutcracker WEIRD! so that one doesn't count)
I love Christmas!
