We decided we wanted to make the drive to Anaheim in one day and we wanted to get there in the afternoon. So, we decided to leave @ 4am, knowing we ALWAYS leave a half hour after the time we decide we want to leave because we need at least 30 minutes to check all of the doors, windows and plugs again, and run back into the house at least 5 times for the little things we forgot.
When we pulled out of the driveway just a few minutes before 4:30 am we weren't too disappointed and we were feeling pretty good.
Because we knew that's how we roll, we've done this a few times.
The drive was pretty uneventful other than the incessant strong wind. (We were just glad we weren't home with the snow.)
We did the usual things to keep ourselves entertained, ate, read, talked, listened to a couple of books on cd , played some games and SLEPT (at least I did, personally it's my favorite thing to do in the car but my kids don't like to, I'm not sure if they're afraid they'll miss something or what.).
When I noticed Mr.Man had finally given in and fallen asleep I had to get a picture.
Doesn't this look like the most comfortable position -EVER- to sleep in?
When Sweet Cheeks saw I was taking her brother's picture because he was asleep she wanted me to take a picture of her sleeping (left) and one of her awake (right).
Video games were a great diversion for the oldest three.
For some reason Duder's DS works wonders for his motion sickness. Go figure!
We arrived in time to rest a little in our hotel room before heading out to meet up with one of MDH's friend (and family) from his LDS mission.
Seriously, this was one of the best parts of the trip. It was so much fun getting to know them, it felt like we'd been friends forever.
I was having so much fun visiting that I didn't take any pictures.
Sometimes you just have to live the moment and take a picture with your heart.

I love the idea of living in the moment and taking a picture with your heart, that's beautiful, your such a poet! I wish we would have seen you guys, that would have been so much fun. We need to get together again sometime soon!
Sister is so nice to let him nap on her. Just keep playing! :-)
