McCall

Yep, we've added to our family and adopted a girl.
She has brown hair and brown eyes.
She's 7 years old.
And just fits in perfectly with our family.
She's happy, loves to play and loves tasty treats.
She's pretty tidy and responsible too.
Her name is McCall. (Banana wants to spell it Makal, Sweet Cheeks pronounces it MaTall)
No, I didn't name her after the sewing pattern company....She came with the name and because she's 7 (49) we don't think we should change her name.
We have a month to decide if the adoption will be final but  I think we've all fallen in love, so she'll be sticking around.

We'd like you to meet our new

DOG!

She loves MDH!

I think MDH put it into words perfectly on the day that she came home with us.
He said he felt like not being able to get the kids a dog had been weighing on him and now he finally felt like that weight had been lifted off  his shoulders.

I think a parent's checklist for being a good parent would go something like this.
  1. Provide shelter, food, clothing
  2. Provide love, encouragement, mental and social stimulation
  3. Provide a pet that will give unconditional love
Now we can say:
Check,
Check,
Check!

Parents of the year right here, right now.....☺

PS. You may be asking yourself, "How could they get a dog when Sweet Cheeks is so terrified of them?"
Well, She really loves McCall......through the window....McCall is her window dog.
We took her to meet McCall before we decided to try this out. Yes, she was scared of her but then she also talked about her constantly for the next week and a half.
At first I was worried that Sweet Cheeks wouldn't ever want to go play outside again if we got a dog but then I decided that Sweet Cheeks hardly ever plays in the back yard anyway because the neighbor's ferret gets in our yard all the time and completely freaks her out. And frankly the ferret freaks me out too. So if she's not going in our back yard anyway I'd rather have a dog in our yard and that be the reason she doesn't go out than a ferret.
But the good news is she does go in the backyard to jump on the trampoline even if the dog is back there.☺

Welcome McCall, if you'd like to come meet her too feel free to stop by! We'd love to have you.

Yeah! Dogs are great! This just might help sweey cheeks also. He looks happy and the smiles on the boys' faces are priceless.

The kids look happy to have their new dog. In fact, the dog looks happy too! Sweet Cheeks really wanted to talk about the dog. I think she is going to like him too. He looks like a nice dog. I enjoyed the pictures! I enjoyed your little story.
