Snow Fort

The good and the bad about a snowstorm in March:
The good - the snow melts quickly.
The bad - the snow melts too quickly....
...At least it does if you have an awesome snow-fort to play with.

Monday night's snowstorm unfortunately hit just in time for the commute and just in time to make it impossible for us to get to the W-family Family Home Evening. (luckily it's been rescheduled).
We enjoyed a cozy night at home and had our own FHE.
After the nights activities and after the younger kiddos were in bed MDH and Duder went out to shovel the driveway and they decided to make a fort as a surprise for the little'ns.
The kids were so excited when they got up and saw the awesomeness in the front yard.
They ate as quickly as possible so they would have time to play before school.
It was a good thing they did too because by the afternoon all of the snow had melted around the fort and it was just to soggy and muddy to play.
But it was so much fun while it lasted and I was impressed with how thoughtful MDH and Duder were.
