Easter Egg Hunt X 3

A lady in our neighborhood organizes an Easter egg hunt every year the Saturday before Easter.
Every one donates the candy and eggs (the eggs are used again every year) and they work together to stuff and hide them.
When it's all said and done there are over 1500 eggs.
That's a lot of candy!
and
A lot of fun!
Everyone looks forward to it each year.

Sweet Cheeks and some of her fun neighborhood friends.

Not making this up, this is seriously a quote.
"It's the motherload of Easter eggs, alien Easter eggs."

Quite a group of 7-8 year olds.

The Easter egg hunt was divided up by age and then they were sent to the different areas of the neighbor hood to hunt.
Four and five year olds got to hunt around the church. Some of the eggs were hid pretty good for 4 year olds and the hiding techniques looked familiar and similar to those used by my family.
Duder had helped hide the eggs and so I was confident he had the eggs for this group.
Turned out I was right, my boy had indeed hid these eggs, I was pleased and surprised I actually could spot the egg hiding technique of my boy.
Weird?

My brother and his family were able to join us.

Saturday afternoon Grandma and Grandpa W- also hosted a Easter Egg Hunt, Pinata, Dinner.

This time Uncle Dave had hid the eggs so this guy got to help hunt.

I thought it was funny that even though she wasn't blind-folded she still thought she needed her eyes closed. Wanted it to be fair I guess...

It was fun having our recently-returned-from-a-mission-in-Africa-nephew with us.

Just a hit or two into the pinata fun the head fell off but the candy was still inside so the "headless bunny" was restrung and the fun continued.
It reminded me of
Little Bunny Fu-Fu, except that was the field mice who got bopped on the head but I think bunny fu-fu did in the end too.

Sunday Grandma and Grandpa S- Also hosted an Easter Egg Hunt and dinner.

We're so glad the weather held all weekend.

Searching low.

Searching high.

Grandpa found a good seat to enjoy the Easter Egg Hunt show.

Surveying the scene to make sure we did indeed find all of the eggs.
And we did....except for the one they found a couple of hours later kind of under a rock.....and except for the one they'll find next year when they're hiding the eggs....

So I think they Easter Egg Hunt x3 just may be enough hunting to tide them over until next year.....maybe....
