Turning 5 is serious business.
It means you're old enough to start school....maybe not tomorrow....but soon, very soon.
However, not soon enough for our girl.
5 also means you're not a little girl any more, at least that's what she tells me.
How in the world did she get to be so old?
What did she want for her birthday?
- A two wheeled scooter, like her brothers' but in a girl color.
- No one to fight with each other (brothers), all. day. long.
- Her brothers to play with her all.day.long.
- Chocolate cake with semi-sweet chocolate ganache frosting and whipped (whooped) cream on the side.
- A birthday crown.
- To paint her nails. By herself.
Check, check, check, check and check.
Done and done.
Check out the extra help she had on her candles.
She had no idea because she was following the rules of birthday candle wish making and had her eyes closed.
So cute!
She is one determined and energetic little girl.
She loves to cuddle with her mom and set on dad's lap in his chair.
When she leads the song during family night it usually turns into an interpretive dance. (I love it)
Sometimes she talks like she's 30.
She's learning to read and likes for me to write sentences on her magna doodle for her to read.
Her favorite sentence is, "The fat cat sat on the fat rat."
She loves the flash cards we made together.
Her favorite word to read on the flash cards is, "are" because we say it like a pirate.
Her favorite food is Chinese noodles (beef lo-mein, hold the beef).
Her favorite color is all of them except red, she does not like red. I have no idea why.
She makes us smile every.single.day.
and
We're so glad she's a part of our family.

She's so cute! I love that picture of her blowing out her candles. (Happy Birthday, Sweet Heart!) I agree. How can she be growing up so fast? Dido, Dido to your last sentence.
