A couple of years ago I wrote a tutorial for my other blog (roseycornercreations.blogspot.com) that has become pretty popular on pinterest. Around the time we were moving I was contacted by the magazine Sew-It Today to see if I was interested in having that tutorial published. They said they would send me the fabric I would sew one apron and send it to them along with my printed tutorial and when they were done with the apron they'd send it back to me. Part of me was really skeptical but I did some research and everything was legitimate and so I went for it. It's important for me to note that they never asked me to pay for anything, I chose the fabric and they sent it to me. If they'd asked me to pay for even one little thing that would have been a huge red flag.

The day I walked into Hobby Lobby and saw the issue on the stand front and center was pretty exciting. I have to admit I picked up a copy and told the ladies at the fabric table that I was in that issue.
I'm not one to usually brag like that but I was excited. What was I supposed to do?

It was a really neat and flattering experience. It gave me confidence that I can do things like this and that if I really wanted to I could be successful. However it does take a lot of time and that's something I don't seem to have much of lately. Priorities I guess.
