Our boy entered the double digits! He's TEN years old - CRAZY!
It was just a few days ago I had this little curly red-headed baby in my arms --When he would wake up from his naps he always reminded me of a baby orangutan because his red hair stuck up all over his head.
It was just the day before yesterday he completely fell in love with Elephants and couldn't get enough of them. He would say, "Elephants are always a good idea!" For halloween he was an elephant - two years in a row. For the second year I had to make him a new costume because he had worn the first elephant costume almost every day that whole year!
It was just yesterday he kissed me good-bye and said, "Don't worry mom, I'm going to do great at school. Everyone always likes me." as he got on the bus for kindergarten for the first time.
Today, he's ten, he loves scouts, soccer, reading, ALL ANIMALS, Legos, fishing, his new bike, mud, laughing, telling a good joke, music, his gameboy, Star Wars, saving his money and his family.
He's an old soul in a young body - if you ever get a good look in his eyes you'll see it too.
We are so grateful he was sent to our family. We are blessed every day because of him.

Here's a few old photos - As old as I have on the computer anyway.
The elephant ride was what he wanted for his fifth birthday.
2003, 2005
It's fun to see how we've all changed.
Fast forward - 2008!
I had to put this photo in. It's hard to see but the little black spot in the green balloon is a fruit fly. M.D.H. was blowing up the balloons so Banana and I could decorate for Duder's birthday. When we hung this balloon we saw that there was a fruit fly in it.
What the....? How'd that get in there?!?
Go figure!

Love the story and the pictures and that handsome young man. I remember how he liked elephants and about his first sentence was, "Find Elephant", when he would go for a walk with Grandpa.
