We awoke this morning to SNOW covering our beautiful spring blossoms!
The effect was quite striking so please indulge me and my attempts to be a photographer.
Yesterday was really very windy - I know that's not that unusual for our high desert area - but these winds were unusual for their fierceness. We're talking wind gusts that picked up our giant blue elephant slide and blew it across the yard.
Mr. Man kept asking me 'what animal was growling' in our yard, because the wind was so loud -
When we went to get in the car to pick up the older kids from school he said,
"Look mom, our tree is fighting with our neighbors tree and I think ours is winning."
Sure enough, the wind was whipping both trees around so much that they looked like the branches were sword fighting each other. I would have never thought of that analogy -
(I love the creative new perspective on the world my children give me!)
No trees or big branches were blown down in our yard and no major damage was done to our house - just a few shingles got blown off, and our trampoline stayed put!
We were very lucky!

Your pictures are SO beautiful. I took 1 picture, but can't post until I get home.
I think Spring has sprung...a leak!
I saw on the news a huge pine tree in the old SW that blew over on someones car yesterday.
You were lucky. Last time it was windy like this my sisters trampoline got picked up and blown over her fence! They found it about 50 yards from their home. Crazy!
LOVE the pix!
We all think your flowers are beautiful with the snow on them. Big D & little M says Hi. (Dad's code words.) We really had a windy bouncy drive here. Oh yes and really dusty. We arived safely and a good trip. Everyone is doing fine.
