a few more from friday.

I thought I'd share a few more photos from our fun family get-together up at the reservoir.

The first couple were taken in the car while we waited for everyone so we could caravan.

We enjoyed tasty fire-roasted hot dogs, salads, DEVILED EGGS (I hadn't had those in forever -- so yummy!) and waffle brownies or brownie waffles (either way I need that recipe).

Grandma W. even made some Boiled Raisin Cake (Grandpa B-'s favorite).

Then it was time to play in the reservoir. Well....not in it because that would be cold and dirty, but on it... in boats.

All of the kids had to wear life vests for the sanity of the moms.
Mr. Man or THE MAN as he likes to be called now didn't mind the life vest.

BoBo aka Sweet Cheeks did mind and wanted it off.
I went on the canoe with her and I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown.
First of all she LOVES water and is not afraid of it in the least. She wanted to touch the water so badly while we were in the boat.
Second I think our canoe was a little over weighted and top heavy and it kept tipping from side to side. I thought for sure we were going to capsize.
I usually really, really enjoy canoeing but apparently not with a toddler on my lap.

Untle Dud only had a broom to paddle with but it worked great!

Finally, this was a test shot with the camera but I really liked how it turned out. I just wish Sweet Cheeks would have been in it.

We had a great time and we promise not to make it another 13 years between visits.
