My birthday is coming up and I haven't been dancing for a very long time.
So, I asked to be taken dancing for my birthday.
We went on Friday to a Big Band Dance at the University and
we had a BLAST.
But, like I said it had been a very long time, and it occurred to us that
maybe we should have practiced before we went.
NAH>>>>>
We decided we weren't SMOOTH enough to call ourselves THE FRED AND GINGER....
but we weren't too bad...
so...
we dubbed our selves
Fred Rogers and Ginger Astaire
We were happy to be each other's dancing neighbor.
AND
We had a marvelous time!

Shhhh...... don't tell anyone....
I am so sore!!!!
I feel like I have a broken rib, hip, calf, bum (I mean upper thigh, upper-upper thigh/hamstring).
That Lindy Hop will get you every time.

I have forgote about the Big Band dances. I would love to go. When is the December one? Maybe we could double! The laughs could be as good as Scarry Poppins :) , Well maybe not!

Are tose the same dances we all went to many many years ago before all these children interupted them? If so or similar they were so much fun! I do miss being able to go dancing. We wnet alot when we were dating. AHH memories! What a great b-day present.
Kyle and I took dance lessons a couple of months ago ( so he could learn). What we learned was he had two left feet, no kidding. There is no hope. Sounds like so much fun!
