I've been told this is blog-worthy, therefore I must blog it.

We likey books! Lots and lots of books.

We needed bookshelves lots and lots of bookshelves.

Me likey good deals!

A developer was selling the furnishings from some model homes and we were able to pick up these IKEA shelves for a screamin' good deal! HIP-HIP-HoRAY! As well as some IKEA lamps! (please ignore the lack of cute decorations, they are completely functional now but will be festooned soon enough.)

While I was at it I thought I'd share one of my favorite spaces in the house

The Basement!

I love how open it is and how bright! The kids will actually play down here particularly if I'm sewing which I do quite often because I have a spot for my sewing machine --- I can actually leave it set up and leave my mess there and if I need to stop sewing I can stop - close the door and no-one needs to see my creative mess!!!!

(I'll have to share a picture of my little sewing nook later - way too creatively messy right now)

This is also a great spot for having Nerf gun wars and American Daddy-ator tournaments, hosting scouts, playing mother-may-I, sliding in your socks, reading, setting up plastic army guy wars, riding wonder horse, giving haircuts, playing chess, coloring, laying out a quilt, setting up a blanket tent, etc.!
