I was commissioned to make another bag....
....by my MIL as a gift. I like this one even better than the first.
I may have to make myself one.
A few friends asked for instructions so I thought I'd share the two tutorials I followed to make my bag.
As usual I'm not happy just following the simple instructions for one pattern I decided to combine the two and tweak just a little. I've never been happy with just one pattern -- just ask my mother who kindly combined dress patterns for me for years----and just ask my neighbor who kindly helped me out when I decided to mix things up and get fancy with Banana's dress a couple of weeks ago.
If you decide to try out the combo on the bags don't worry, the two patterns are very similar and go together nicely.

My Mom made one similar to this for Caitlin for her b-day made out of YW theme fabric. It turned out so cute and she loves it. It looks great!
I LOVE IT!!!! I was so glad to find out who the recipient will be!! I will have to use all my motherly giving powers to not steal it for myself. I am so glad you are living near by again. I would love to commision one for myself, but since I have no machine we may need a "creative day" to accomplish it. Let me know!
