This is a first

Yesterday was scout day.

I'm a Wolf Den Leader in Cub Scouts.

We were having scouts at my house.

One of the moms was coming because we need to have two adults at every activity (safety for adults and boys) and a cub scout unit commissioner was coming to observe and see how we were doing.

I wanted my house to be clean......not so much for the boys but for the other adults....

....I had a neighbor in Reno who would drop by and visit sometimes....because I have five kids when she would stop by I'd usually say something like, "Come on in, sorry about the mess." She'd ALWAYS say, "Don't worry about it, I came to see YOU not your house.".......I miss you Gail!.....

.....ANYWAY...

..although I know these ladies are nice, they weren't coming to see me per se.....so I wanted my house and kitchen to be clean. When I realized I wasn't going to get all of my dishes done before it was time and the dishes weren't all going to fit in the dishwasher ....

Here comes the confession.....

I STASHED THEM IN THE OVEN!!!!!

I've never done that before!!! It worked really well!!! and don't worry I didn't forget they were in there and they are now clean.

Next time maybe I'll try hiding some in the closet too.

During den meeting, I'm still in a CRAFTY mood, so the scouts made pet rocks.
I should have taken pictures of their rocks. I was a little busy then so I didn't think about it but trust me they were pretty great!

Finally,
Around Valentines, MDH and I went shopping with his parents. My MIL and I found these really cute little pots that looked like watering cans and we each put a little potted flower in them and bought them.
I kept saying that I would for sure kill the plant but we agreed that if I did it wouldn't cost very much to buy a new one.
As promised I almost killed it
-I forgot to water it for quite some time-
I thought for sure it was a goner....
BUT
It survived!!!!!
and it's thriving!
Two new leaves this WEEK!
YAY! I'm not a dirty dish stashing, crafty, plant killer!

That is an excellent idea. I can't say I've ever hid dishes in the oven but it's quite ingenius.

Or you can hide random toys in the dishwasher! Works like a charm!!
You are too funny. Glad your plant didn't die!
