Why-oh-why-oh-why

You would think I'd be over doing embarrassing things. But, alas, no. Most likely this will be my curse for the rest of my days. At some point I may go completely beyond being embarrassed about anything but that day is not in any foreseeable future for me.

I love my neighborhood. I love that the kids can walk to school. I love that there are friends for them to play with right around the corner. And, I love that we can walk to church. Even in the winter when the cold wind bites at your nose it's not that bad or the summer when the sun warms the top of your hair as you walk I rather enjoy the short jaunt over to the church. Often, because most of our neighbors walk to church as well we find opportunities to visit with various friends as we walk or at the very least wave and exclaim a greeting. I love that.

Last Sunday as we were walking home from church we seemed to have even more neighbors than usual walking home at the same time. We talked a little to some and waved at others but still continued walking. As I walked something felt a little off about my ankle area so I looked down and low and behold there was my slip----slipping right off of my body. How in the world does that happen? and How in the world do I not feel it until it's all the way down? As far as I know I haven't suffered any major spinal chord injuries nor have I had any nerve damage but it would seem I had no feeling between my knees and my waist as I walked and my under clothes slid right off. MDH stepped in behind so our neighbors behind us couldn't see as well and I kind of grabbed my slip and walked as quickly as I could home. Red faced and embarrassed.

I survived though. That's a relief!
So, here's my question.....What's your most embarrassing moment.
I challenge you to share one of your embarrassing moments on your blog or leave a comment here.
I need to feel a little better about myself and know I'm not the only one that has stuff happen.
**Just a caution -- my kids read this blog so if you decide to leave your moment as a comment please keep it tame.
I look forward to hearing all about your embarrassing moments!!!
Thanks in advance!

HAHAHA so sad but it kind reminds me of a little incident that happened to me last year- we had just moved back from Pittsburgh and we were going to our new ward I was wearing a really long flowy skirt and sometimes it gets caught on the bottom of my high heel but I had worked really hard to always grab it or check before I started walkiin or anything- anyway- I got up to leave relief society and was walking to Sunday school my skirt was not snagged but it felt like it was dragging in the back way more than normal- I looked back and oops it had slid down in the back below my bootie- ha ha embarrassing!!! Thanks for the good laugh and moment of sympathy :)

Too funny....i have lots of embarrassing moments..some that involve always with wings and eighth grade boys...but most recently I was caught singing the ABC's opera style to Traci not knowing my blue tooth was still activated. There are somethings that are only meant for children to hear. Cory had a nice laugh too!

I went snowboarding on a date once. My date was trying to teach me. We were sitting on the snow looking at the steep mountain down below after one of my many falls. He told me to flip my board around so I could go down the hill the other way. I did. And flipped it right into his head and knocked him over. He screamed in pain and said, "That's it! You're done!" I looked at his head to find a big, bleading bruise. Oops. Never liked him much anyway. . .
