Back in February, when the snow was on the ground and the nights were long and dark, we took the family to a Weber State University basketball game.
As you can see we were way up top but we got a great deal on the tickets and
the first few hundred fans got a free shirt!
For a couple of us it was a free dress.
Here's his impression of a WILDCAT.
And her impression of a WILDCAT too.
The Jazz Bear was at the game too.
The kids were so excited to see him and really wanted to get their picture taken with him.
Luckily it worked out.
And just in case you were wondering, yes, he is crazy!
At one point he climbed up on top of the basket and then did the splits while he slid through the basket to the ground.
CRAZY!
The kids wanted to get their picture taken with Weber's mascot Waldo too.
And they did.
We even watched the game!
But I found it really hard to watch the game, there were just so many things screaming for my attention.
Two mascots, cheerleaders, dance team, other fans, the scoreboard, the kids, just so many things!
But yes we did watch the game amidst all of the distractions.
Funny story, Waldo came right up to our row and was standing right in front of our kids.
He was trying to reach over Doodle's head to give someone five but Doodle thought he wanted a hug.
So Waldo got a hug.
Then Doodle figured out what was going on.
Awkward! (have you ever noticed how awkward the word awkward is?)
And he (Doodle) laughed really hard.
And this is the kids telling us what happened and laughing.
(I'm sure Banana wants me to add this disclaimer, she was sick this night and almost didn't go to the game. She doesn't think any of the pictures of her are very good because she looks sick. I think she looks beautiful.)
Weber won! Of course! They wouldn't have dared to do anything else while we were there.
