Two Weeks Ago!!!

Where oh where has our sunshine gone?

The boys went to the Father and Son's camp-out and got poured on.

Luckily there were cabins and so they didn't get too wet or too cold but they did get their fair share of mud caked on their shoes, pants, faces.....everywhere.

When I was tucking Mr.Man in bed the night after the camp-out we had a fun conversation.

Me: "Did you have fun at the camp-out?"

Mr.Man: "Yes, but I got homesick."

Me: "You did? I thought you had a lot of fun."

Mr. Man: "I did. But, when my feet got wet and cold and my second pair of socks were soaked I got really homesick. I just wanted to be with you and I needed a hug."

That was when I melted.

My sweet boy still needs me.

Not to worry though, Dad had things under control.

It turns out when Mr.Man had reached his limit of wet and cold and things weren't quite put together enough to come home Dad came to the rescue.

He put said little boy in the car,

removed said wet shoes and socks,

wrapped cold wet boy in a blanket,

and

gave him a granola bar and a  grape soda.

It's funny how warm feet and a full tummy can change ones entire outlook on life.....

Young and old!

Maybe some granola and soda will help me make it to sunnier days.....
More likely a good dose of chocolate!
